ARTIK USB Interfaces

Descriptions of USB interface usage are categorized as follows.

The USB interfaces typically available for end-user use are shown below. Debug USB interface locations (for terminal emulator connection) can be found here.



The ARTIK 0 module itself
does not include USB.

The base board provides
(for updating firmware):
- One USB 2.0 port
- Device mode only
- Mini type B receptacle



The ARTIK 520 module provides:
- One USB 2.0 port
- Device mode only
- Mini type B receptacle

The ARTIK 530 and 710 modules provide:
- One USB 2.0 OTG port
- Host controller/device mode,
  selected by OTG protcols
- Micro-AB receptacle

Through USB hub on board:
- Two USB 2.0 ports
- Host Controller mode only
- Stacked type A receptacle

The ARTIK 1020 module provides:
- One USB 3.0 port
- Host controller/device mode,
  dynamically selected
- Standard type A receptacle

Through USB/Ethernet port
expander on board:
- Two USB 2.0 ports
- Host Controller mode only
- Stacked type A receptacle

ARTIK microSD Interface

The ARTIK 520, 530, 710, and 1020 development boards each provide a microSD card interface. The microSD card can be used for:
